Living in the UAE and need an NBI Clearance? Learn how to renew a previous clearance or apply with NBI Form No. 5, complete fingerprinting in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, and arrange processing in the Philippines.
A quick guide. Results are preliminary guidance only, not an official determination by the NBI.
Have you previously received an NBI Clearance?
If this is your first NBI Clearance application, or you are not eligible for the renewal process, you will generally need NBI Form No. 5 and the required fingerprint impressions.
Obtain NBI Form No. 5 — commonly called the NBI fingerprint card or "blue form" — through the relevant Philippine Embassy or Consulate serving UAE. Where officially supported, an authorized representative may secure the form from the NBI Mailed Clearance Section in Manila. Follow the applicable form-certification procedures set by the mission.
Find My Philippine Embassy or ConsulateGather and verify each requirement against the relevant mission's current instructions. Requirements can differ between countries and even between missions in the same country.
Attend the Philippine Embassy, Consulate, or a locally authorized fingerprinting facility according to current mission instructions in UAE. Fingerprints must meet NBI requirements. The official taking the prints may need to record their name, signature, designation and office seal, as prescribed by NBI guidance. Not every Philippine mission performs fingerprint capture directly — confirm before attending.
Before sending the application to the Philippines, check that the form is complete, all personal information matches the passport, fingerprints and required certification are complete, and supporting documents are attached. Incomplete or incorrectly completed forms are a common cause of delays.
Once your completed application documents are ready, you may choose: (A) send them to a relative or authorized representative in the Philippines; (B) use the applicable NBI mailed-clearance procedure directly, where available; or (C) avail our services which will save you time, money and effort. These are genuine choices — our service is not compulsory.
You may receive your NBI Clearance in our office, and we can send you a PDF copy in advance.
Why choose our services
The completed application is processed by the Philippine NBI. Once issued, the NBI Clearance may be forwarded to you according to the arrangement you selected. Electronic-copy and original hard-copy options may be available depending on the arrangement. We do not guarantee delivery, issuance or completion dates.
You can send your completed NBI Form No. 5 and requirements to a trusted relative or authorized representative in the Philippines. But if you don't have anyone available — or would rather avoid coordinating the process yourself — we can assist you.
Our service is optional. Applicants may also arrange processing independently, through an authorized representative, or directly with the NBI where permitted.
Arrange it yourself
Coordinate with a relative or representative, manage international shipping, and track each step personally.
Use our assistance
We help check your requirements, coordinate processing in the Philippines, and arrange document return — so you coordinate fewer steps yourself.
We do not promise that our service always saves money or results in faster government processing.
Applicants with an eligible existing NBI Clearance may not need a new Form No. 5 if their details satisfy applicable NBI requirements. Our preferred assisted-renewal service category is clearance issued in 2015 or later, subject to review. Official NBI mailed-clearance guidance refers to eligible clearances issued from 2014 onward.
Additional information may be required after reviewing the applicant's circumstances. Renewal does not imply automatic approval.
Confirm each item against the relevant mission's current instructions. Photo quantities, fees, procedures and appointment rules are not identical across the four countries.
Philippine diplomatic missions relevant to this country. Confirm current Form No. 5, fingerprinting and appointment procedures directly with each mission before attending.
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Confirm Form No. 5 and fingerprinting procedures with the embassy. Requirements and appointment rules can differ from the Dubai Consulate.
